The ordeal we had with this was something else. After a strip down of almost the entire machine, we found a compacted blockage inside one of the short flexible tubes and after eventually clearing that and a bit of a deep clean, the machine looked and performed like new. Turned out that it had sucked up a small piece of electrical wire and this was the culprit.
